Caleb Pugs
For the Love of the Breed

My love for pugs began over 30 years ago when I agreed to help my friend Tammy Mohn Stiles by “temporarily caring for” Sophie (aka. Ch. TeriTam’s Sophisticated Lady”). Sophie stayed with me and my German Shepherd, August. She never left my home and I never lost my love for the breed.

I was blessed to meet Barbara Braley (breeder of Ch. Dhandy's Favorite Woodchuck,the only pug to win Westminster Kennel Dog SHow) and Anitra Hutchison after Sophie died. They permitted me to bring 2 lovely Dhandy pugs into my life, Ling (Dhandy’s Song of Sherwood) and Hugs (Dhandy’s Hugs & Kisses) and mentored me in caring for the breed.

In the early 2000’s, I began entertaining the idea of showing and breeding the pug. I purchased my first show girl,Lily, from Cindy Joyner of Periwinkle Pugs. With Cindy’s mentoring and the help of many others in the pug community, I finished Lily’s Championship. She is now Ch. Periwinkle’s Diamond Lil.I continue to learn more about the pug everyday from the relationships and friendships I have developed. And so it goes!

Caleb Pugs is slowly moving forward to develop a pedigree line that is structurally sound and within the standard of the breed. As the name & story of Caleb implies, you must have faith and move forward tenaciuosly with reaching your dream.   That is exactly what we strive to do!
